M.A.N.T.I.S. (Multispectral Autonomous Natural Transformation Imaging Satellite) is a student-designed CubeSat mission developed by the Dalhousie Space Systems Lab (DSS). The satellite combines multispectral imaging, onboard artificial intelligence, and autonomous decision-making to identify and prioritize significant environmental observations while in orbit. Developed by a multidisciplinary team of students, M.A.N.T.I.S. serves as both a technology demonstration mission and a hands-on platform for advancing expertise in satellite systems engineering and autonomous spacecraft operations.
